چکیده
Kidney injury and related diseases have become quite common in recent years, attracted more attention. Sulforaphane, a kind of isothiocyanate, is widely distributed cruciferous plants it antioxidant. Specifically, sulforaphane can reduce oxidative damage by preventing cells from freeradical damage, degeneration, acting as an anti-inflammation, etc. This study summarized the investigations effects on kidney injury. discussed mechanisms immune, renal ischemia-reperfusion, diabetic nephropathy, age-related, other factors-induced models potential relative for protection.

Protective effect of vitamin E against acute kidney injury.
It has been well-known for many years now that vitamin E is an essential nutrient; however, some of the physiological functions of this vitamin are still far from being understood. In recent years, a series of preclinical and clinical studies proposed a protective role of vitamin E on acute kidney injury (AKI), which has a high morbidity rate and mortality rate in clinical investigations. Based...
متن کاملProtective Effect of Puerarin Against Oxidative Stress Injury of Neural Cells and Related Mechanisms
BACKGROUND Parkinson's disease (PD) is manifested as degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra compacta. The mitochondrial dysfunction induced by oxidative stress is believed to a major cause of PD. Puerarin has been widely applied due to its estrogen nature and anti-oxidative function. This study thus investigated the protective role of puerarin against oxidative stress injury o...
متن کاملProtective effect of sulforaphane against dopaminergic cell death.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with a selective loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. Evidence suggests oxidation of dopamine (DA) to DA quinone and consequent oxidative stress as a major factor contributing to this vulnerability. We have previously observed that exposure to or induction of NAD(P)H:quinone reductase (QR1), the enzyme that ca...
